Survey to identify common interests, needs and opportunities to beneficially work together; survey will be mailed to agriculturists, foresters, producers, animal husbandry/production (dairy, pig, horse, chicken, ducks, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, emus, etc.) and professional animal support services (blacksmith, sheep shearers, hoof trimmers, ferrier, veterinarians, welding, slaughter, butcher, livestock trucking, compost), educators and other related services. When you receive yours, please reply by mid-August. If you are involved in one of these businesses but did not receive a survey, please call 563-3338 to have one mailed. If you know of someone in the greater Cabot area left off the list, please let us know.
Assistance in marketing town and services may be available from Vermont Council on Rural Development new division for digital support. Also, Brookfield’s Floating Bridge Co-op is willing to come to Cabot to talk about how they market their community.
Cabot Sugarmakers “Pow Wow” scheduled Wednesday, October 9, 7:00 p.m., in Willey Building, to explore benefits of marketing Cabot maple products as a group or “brand” to a guaranteed market. Mark your calendar.
